In a world full of MOBAs and battle royales, competitive online games are more popular today. In the past before the rise of online subscription services we had much more of those. As the title hints, this is where the party begins! You must escape and settle the score with the guy responsible for you two being in prison. In A Way Out, the two players get to choose control of either Leo or Vincent, who had been recently accused and convicted and were thrown into prison. Of course, this uniqueness was the solid basis It Takes Two was built on.
The whole story is being told from a split-screen perspective, which leads to a really new and original way to present a game to players. And just like its successor, it is strictly a co-op experience that has no single-player option.
